Inside the steel frame structure: floor panels and ear panels.

In the field of modern construction, steel frame structures have become the main structural system of high-rise buildings and large industrial plants due to their unique advantages - high strength, light weight, and convenient construction. In this system, the floor panels and ear plates, as the main components of the steel frame structure, not only bear the weight of the building, the use load and the influence of natural forces such as wind and snow, but are also related to the overall stability and safety of the building.  

1.Floor panels 

The two common forms of cast-in-situ reinforced concrete floor slabs are profiled steel plate concrete composite floor slabs and reinforced truss floor decks. The profiled steel plate-concrete composite floor cleverly uses profiled steel plates as permanent formwork for cast-in-place concrete. This design effectively overcomes the shortcomings of traditional cast-in-place reinforced concrete floor slabs that require layer-by-layer formwork and cumbersome construction. For Steel Truss floor decking, the steel bars in the floor slab are processed into steel trusses in the factory and are closely connected to the bottom formwork to form a combined formwork. This design is not only simple and intuitive to bear force, but also provides the necessary stiffness for the formwork during the construction stage and continues to bear force during the use stage, thus achieving full utilization of materials. In addition, the steel truss floor deck also significantly reduces the work of tying steel bars on site and greatly promotes the process of mechanized production.

2.Ear plate  

The main function of ear plate, often called connecting plate or gusset plate, is to tightly connect two or more structural members that are originally separated from each other into a whole. Its styles and structures are diverse, including rectangular plates, polygonal plates and various types of special-shaped plates to adapt to different connection needs. According to different application scenarios, ear plates can be mainly divided into several categories: steel column connection plates, corner brace connection plates, tie rod connection plates, horizontal support connection plates and inter-column support connection plates. These different types of ear plates play a vital role in Steel structures, ensuring the stability and safety of the structure.
